Round 1 Recap

Back Creek GC is fantastic condition with the greens running close to 11 on the stimp meter. Saturday's forecast was quite a bit colder than predicted with some rain for close to an hour in the middle of the round. The wind started of calm and progressively got stroger as the round went on.

Christopher Ault had a fantastic round until he reached the 16th (toughest hole of the day) where he took a 12. His final score was 77. A par would have put him right in the hunt. Timothy Porter was solid all day. He got it to 4 under and then missed a short putt on 15 to drop back to 3 under which was his finishing score. He is the overnight leader. Josh Moore is a close second on 1 under par followed by Amrk Miller and Chris Murphy. Great scoring when you factor in the wind, temperature and the fast greens.

Leading the boys 13 - 15 division is Steve Blanken on 4 over par.
