The final round at Back Creek GC saw the sun shining again and the wind blowing. The greens dried up, and added some speed to make it very tough for all the players if you ended up on the wrong side of the hole.
The boys 13 - 15 Division, Evan Harmeling, from MA proved to be to consistent for the field and posted a 75 to win his division. Second place went to Eric Onesi, a local junior from Bear, DE. Third was also taken by a local, John Jensen, from Newark, DE.
The boys 16 - 18 division was closely contested right until the end. Josh Moore, was in the running, but came in bogey, double bogey to end up in second place by 2 shots from Timothy Porter. Timothy, from Wilmington, DE, seemed to enjoy the tough windy conditions. Isaac Lim had an even par, 71 to take the low round honors.
Christopher Ault and Chris Murphy both had 6 birdies to lead the field in the birdie race for the weekend. The toughest hole, # 16 also gave up the most birdies.
Congratulations to all the players. |
