Outstanding was the word at the University of Oklahoma Golf Course for both the weather conditions as well as the play for first round action.

In the overall field of 75 players there were 7 scores at par or below. Leading the way in the Boys' 16-18 division are Zach Pederson (Spring Hill, KS) and Linc Townsend (Stillwater OK), with 3 under par. They hold a one-stroke lead over Kody Capps (Highland Ranch, CO) entering the final round.

The 13-18 Girls' division is led by Lucy Nunn (Lawton, OK)
after firing a first round 77 to lead by two strokes. Tied for second place with eighteen to play are Katie Avery (Highland Ranch, CO) and Alexandrea Schulte (Broken Arrow, OK) with 79 each.

Leading the way at the halfway mark in the Boys' 13-15 division is Jason Schulte (Kansas City, MO) after a first round 72. He leads by three strokes over Samuel Chavez who shot 75, and by four over Hogan Knox (Fort Worth, TX) who fired 77.

In the 11-12 year old Boys' division, Brad Mason (Dallas, TX) leads the way by four strokes following an opening round socre of 72. He leads Nathan Chambers (Purcell, OK)
who shot 76, and Justin Wileman (Southlake, TX) who finished with a first round 78.

Final round play will resume at 8:00 Central Time Sunday.
