The final round at The Links got off to an eventful start, thanks to mother nature. The field woke up to a thick fog which was supposed to clear by the time the first balls were in the air. The fog was here to stay and the final round got under way in a fog that would keep ships in their harbors. Players could see one shot at a time and headed off into a nine holes of darkness.

The majority of the field knuckled down and played one shot at a time. The sun finally broke through 2 hours into the final round.

This week was a week where the younger boys showed what they were made of. In the boys 11 - 12 division, Rich Werenski fired a great 71, with a 2 under par 34 on his back nine. He birdied the tough 8th hole and the easier 9 hole to win his division.

The overnight leaders struggled throughout the day allowing the groups behind to make up a little ground. Two 15 year olds, took second and third. Cody Paladino, started the day with a birdie on #2 and #7, to finish the front nine at 2 under par. He ended up one under for the round to finish in third. Michael Wagner (15 year old)proved very steady for the 2 days finishing second on a consistent score of 147. Congratulations to David May for his two rounds of 71, 75, which gave him a one shot margin.

Congratulations, and well done to all the players for enduring what might be a once in a lifetime round through a dense fog.
