Draegen Majors fired an opening round of 3 under par to open the Bear Creek West Jr. Golf Classic. Majors, who won last season at the University of Oklahoma event, is looking for his first win of the 2005-06 season. Majors, a senior from Bixby, OK, had 6 birdies on the day. In the boys 13-15 division, Christopher Walker of The Woodlands, TX (2008), is leading by 2 after carding a 1 over par round of 73 on Saturday. Walker, who finished first among the 13-15 division at the University of Oklahoma, is looking for his second FCWT win of the season. He will need to hold off Stephen Carney of Tulsa, OK (2008) who is in 2nd at 75 and Ryan Conner of Fort Worth, TX (2009) who is in 3rd. Conner is three strokes ahead of Michael Revella of Tulsa, OK (2010). This field of 14 boys from 6 states and Canada will tee it up for the final round on Sunday. |
