The weather was much improved for the second round of the Turkey Creek Junior Golf Classic; a little brisk in the morning, but the temperatures warmed to the high 50s by the afternoon. The Superintendent did not double cut the greens today, after many remarks of the greens being so quick for the first round. Junior Steve Ziegler of Broomfield, CO, led the way for round two. Ziegler, the only player to finish at par or better on Sunday, moved into first place from 6th place after an opening round 77. Ziegler, who has 3 Top 5 finishes so far this season, is looking for his first win. The highlight of Steve's round was an eagle on the par 5 16th hole. Ziegler will have a one shot advantage over Kamden Brakel of Acampo, CA (2007) heading into Monday's final round. Brakel, who finished T8 at Teal Bend, carded a round of 74 on Sunday to move from third to second. J. Milligan of Cedar Ridge, CA (2007), who moved into a T10.
