The final round of the Turkey Creek Junior Golf Classic was delayed by two hours due to frost.  The tournament began with a 9:30 shotgun.  It warmed up to be a beautiful day with ideal scoring conditions. Temperatures were in the low 60s,  under sunny skies and no wind.

Bradley Wyatt of LaVerne, CA (2006) took advantage of the nice weather to charge to the Top of the leaderboard.  Wyatt, who posted 77-75 on Saturday and Sunday carded a final round of even par (72) to win his first FCWT event.  Wyatt, who began the final round in a tie for 4th, birdied his last 3 holes of the day to win by 3 strokes over Peter Gibbs of Granite Bay, CA (2007), who began the day in 10th.  Gibbs carded his own final round of even par to tie Wyatt for Low Round Honors.  Gibbs posted the most eagles for the event with 2 on opening day and Wyatt carded the most birdies in this division with 11.  Wyatt's win earns him an exemption to the National Championship over the Memorial Day weekend.  Round Two leader junior Steve Ziegler of Broomfield, CO, finished in 3rd place and earned his fourth Top 5 finish of the season.  Ziegler, the only player to finish at par or better on Sunday, moved into first place from 6th place after an opening round 77.  Finishing tied for 4th were first round leader Robert Budenbender of Citrus Heights, CA (2006) and Kamden Brakel of Acampo, CA (2007) who was in the Top 5 all weekend.

Senior Tyler Smith of San Juan Capistrano, CA finished in 6th place, where he began the day and senior Ryan Hallisey of Granite Bay, CA, finished in 7th place.  Abraham Lee of La Canada, CA (2007) finished T8, his first Top 10 of the season, as did Bayhaan Lakdawala of Dubai, UAE (2006).  Junior Michael Kraft of Pacific Grove, CA (2007) finished in 10th place.

RAWITZER rallies!

In the Boys 13-15 division, Matt Rawitzer of Bellingham, WA (2009), rallied on Monday with a final round 73 one over par to earn his first FCWT victory of the season.  Rawitzer found himself in a three-way tie for 2nd with Kevin Rei of Sonora, CA (2008) and Connor Green of Selma, CA (2008) at the end of round one and 3 strokes back of first round leader Parker Houston of Rancho Santa Fe, CA (2010).  At the end of round two in which Rawitzer carded a 77, he was all alone in 2nd place but still well back of Houston.  On Monday, Rawitzer was paired with Houston and James Albert of San Bernardino, CA (2009), who tied Houston for the Low Round on Sunday (74).  Matt carded 4 birdies in his final round to lead this division with 8.  Houston, who struggled on Monday, finished 3 strokes back of Rawitzer in second place.  Albert finished in 3rd, three strokes back of Houston.

In the Boys 11-12 division, Luke Vivolo of Carmel, CA (2011) held steady and strong to earn his second win of the season.  Kraig Mcleod of Pebble Beach, CA (2012) maintained his second place position and Kyle Bowser of Danville, CA (2012) finished in 3rd place.
