Round 1 of the Bear Creek East Jr. Golf Classic was cancelled due to heavy rain & flooding.  Play resumed on Sunday.

The 36-hole event was shortened to an 18 hole shootout.  Sunday's weather was chilly, but dry - the same could not be said for the course.  At the end of 18 holes Sean Frost of Dallas, TX (2006) and Kyle Smell of Overland Park, KS (2007) were tied at 2 under par 70.  On the second hole of the playoff, Frost won with a birdie and earned his first FCWT win.  Smell's second place finish is the best of the season for him to date.  Finishing in 3rd place at even par 72 was Conrad Shindler of Coppell, TX (2007).  Two strokes back and tied for fourth were Craig Tallent of Haverford, PA (2006) and Scott Juhl of Springfield, VA (2007).

In the 13-15 division, Landon Tujague of Dallas, TX (2009) earned his first FCWT win by 2 strokes over Adam Sumrall of South Bend, IN (2009).  FCWT veteran Ryan Conner of Fort Worth, TX (2009) finished tied for 3rd with Karsten Majors of Bixby, OK (2009), who earned his best finish to date.  Zach Sanders of Overland Park, KS (2009) rounded out the Top 5.
