BOYS 13-15 division

Cyril Suk of Bradenton, FL (2011) fired a one under par round on Friday to lead the Boys 13-15 division of the Mission Inn Jr. Golf Masters. Suk, who won at World Woods, has two other top 5 finishes so far this season.   He will begin Saturday's round with a 2 stroke advantage over Luke Benford of Hampshire, ENGLAND (2008), who tied for 4th earlier this month at the IMGA/DLGA Championship,  Hojin Kang of Longwood, FL (2010), who won at Wedgefield, and Devin Patel of Celebration, FL (2008), who has two Top 5s so far this season.  Benford led this division in birdies with 5 for round one;  ZeYu He of Shen Zhen, CHINA (2009), currently T5 at +2 (73), carded the only eagle of this division on the par 5 fifth hole.  He is tied with Tanapol Vattanpisit who won at Plantation at the 11-12 level.  This is a large field - usually second only to the National Championship so there is a lot of room for movement over the next two rounds.  Twenty players are within 10 strokes of the leader.

In the boys 11-12 division, John Boehme of Jacksonville Beach, FL (2012) carded an opening round of even par and led his division in birdies with 4.  Joshua Lee of Orange Park, FL (2013) and Jason Hak of Beijing, CHINA (2012) are currently tied for 2nd at 78 (+7).

Fourteen year old Elisa Aoki of JAPAN (2009) carded 4 birdies on the front nine and finished at 1 under par to lead all scores in this division by 3 shots.  Miss Aoki who previously won at Champions Gate this season, led this division in birdies for round one.  Ines Chandra of Kuta-Baci, INDONESIA (2007) and Ji Young Oh of Kyumggito, SOUTH KOREA (2007) are currently tied for 2nd after opening rounds of 2 over par (73).  Miss Chandra has four Top 10 finishes so far this season, while Miss Oh has 4 wins!  Miss Oh has also shown time and again that she plays her most conservative rounds early and then tends to go low in subsequent rounds.  Currently in 4th place with a round of 75 is Innapha Tantanavivat of Bangkok, THAILAND (2007).  Three girls are tied for 5th place at 76 (+5):  Jessica Korda of Bradenton, FL (2011), Victoria Tomko of Lontzen, BELGIUM (2006), the only player to card an eagle in this division on Friday, and twelve year old Ginger Howard of Bradenton, FL (2012), playing in her first FCWT event.  Elizabeth Herzfeld of Brussels, BELGIUM (2006) and Anna Riss of Frankfurt, GERMANY (2006) are currently T8 at 77 (+6) and four girls are tied for 10th:  Zahra Shah of Bradenton, FL (2007), Caramia Sitompul of Jakarata, INDONESIA (2009), Brianna Seo of KOREA (2007), and Gia Fanelli of West Palm Beach, FL (2007).  Sixteen girls are within 10 strokes of the lead with 2 rounds left to play.

In the girls 13 and under division, Cindy Tang of Shenzhen, CHINA (2014) leads by 1 shot over Doris Chen of Taipei, TAIWAN (2011).  Cindy has 4 wins on the season;  Doris is playing in her first FCWT event.  Another FCWT newcomer, Robbi Howard of Bradenton, FL (2013) is currently in 3rd place at 85.
