Move OH-ver
On Friday, fourteen year old Elisa Aoki of JAPAN (2009) carded 4 birdies on the front nine and finished at 1 under par to lead all scores in this division by 3 shots. On Saturday, Ji Young Oh of Kyumggito, SOUTH KOREA (2007), performed in her usual manner for the 2nd round and moved to the top of the leaderboard, this time by firing a bogey-free round of 5 under par 66. This is her 3rd FCWT tournament round in the 60s, having previously posted a 67 at Orange Lake and a 66 at Feather Sound. Miss Oh now leads by 4 heading into Sunday's final round. Miss Oh has consistently shown that she plays her most conservative round early and then tends to go low in second round. This is her first 3 round event - so time will tell how this scenario will play out.
Miss Aoki who previously won at Champions Gate this season, carded a second round score of 73 and will enter the final round with a 2 stroke advantage over Victoria Tomko of Lontzen, BELGIUM (2006). Miss Tomko moved from tied for 5th to 3rd place with a second round score of 69. She leads this division in birdies with 8 and also has carded the only eagle so far in the Girls division. Jessica Korda of Bradenton, FL (2011) will begin the final round in 4th place after posting a 72 in round two. Innapha Tantanavivat of Bangkok, THAILAND (2007) will start in 5th place at 150. Courtney Brink of Ponte Vedra, FL (2006) moved up the leaderboard on Saturday with a round of 71, 10 strokes better than her opening round. She is tied for 6th with Ines Chandra of Kuta-Baci, INDONESIA (2007), who began the day tied for 2nd with Miss Oh. Three players round out the top 10 in a tie for 8th: twelve year old Ginger Howard of Bradenton, FL (2012), playing in her first FCWT event, Caramia Sitompul of Jakarata, INDONESIA (2009), and Brighid Hourihan of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (2009).
In the girls 13 and under division, Doris Chen of Taipei, TAIWAN (2011) has taken over the lead from Cindy Tang of Shenzhen, CHINA (2014). Miss Chen, playing in her first FCWT event, posted a second round score of 76 and will have a 6 stroke advantage entering the final round. The low round of the day was carded by Allie Kiser of Orlando, FL, with a 75. Miss Kiser won at Feather Sound earlier this month. Robbi Howard of Bradenton, FL (2013) is currently in 3rd place.
