Korean National Champion Ji Young Oh of Kyumggito, SOUTH KOREA (2007) broke away from 14 year old Stephanie Kim of Bayside, NY (2009) on Sunday to win the FCWT USF Junior Golf Classic. On Saturday Miss Kim and Miss Oh were tied for the lead after opening rounds of t +2 (73). They entered Sunday's round with a 3 stroke advantage over Catherine O'Donnell of Ponte Vedra, FL (2008) who opened with a 76. On Sunday, Miss Oh, 17, carded a round of 74 to give her a 3 stroke victory over Miss Kim and Tia Gannon of Hilton Head, SC (2007). Miss Gannon, who began the final round in 4th place after opening with a 77, fired the Low Round in this division on Sunday, 73 (+2) to finish at 150 and tied with Miss Kim. Miss Gannon tied with Rhea Nair of UAE (2006) for the most birdies in this division; each young lady had 5. Miss Nair finished in 4th place, her second Top 5 of the season. Finishing in 5th place, and also earning her second Top 5 was Christina Miller of Bradenton, FL. Miss Miller came back nicely on Sunday with a round of 74 after a bit of a disappointing start for the Naples winner. In the Girls 13 and under division, Cindy Tang of Shenzhen, CHINA (2014) carded rounds of 80-79-159 to win her 4th FCWT event of the season. Heather Proctor of Silver Springs, FL (2012) finished in second and Simin Feng of Beijing, CHINA (2013) finished in third. Schneider fires Low Round on Sunday to earn first FCWT win of the season On Saturday, sixteen year old Michael Murray of White Lake, MI (2008) took the first round lead at the USF Junior Golf Classic with an opening round of one over par 72. He entered Sunday's round with a one stroke advantage over Ajeetesh Sandhu of Chandigarh, INDIA (2007) and Brad Schneider of Valrico, FL (2007). On Sunday, Brad showed why he is # 72 in the Golfweek/Titleist rankings when he carded the Low Round of the day and earned his first FCWT title of the season, along with his fourth Top 5 finish. Brad led this division in birdies on the weekend with 9 and finished 4 shots ahead of Murray. Finishing in 3rd place was senior John Murphy of Wilton, CT who continues to play very consistent golf. In three events, Murphy has a stroke average of 73.67 and has 3 Top 10 finishes and two Top 5s. Finishing in a tie for fourth were: Eric Lajeunesse of Barre, VT (2006) and Ajeetesh Sandhu of Chandigarh, INDIA (2007). For Sandhu it is his second Top 5 finish of the season. Four players finished T6 at 151: Jordan Lewis of West Frankfurt, IL (2008), Roy Steinberg of Caesarea, ISRAEL (2008), who carded the most pars for the weekend with 29, Jonathan Randolph of Brandon, MS (2007) and Michael Soowal of Philadelphia, PA (2007). In the Boys 13-15 division Hugh Lindstrom of Wesley Chapel, FL (2008), carded a 2 over par (73) on Saturday to take the lead and never looked back. Lindstrom, who previously won at Naples, now has 6 Top 5 finishes and two wins. On Sunday, Hugh carded the only sub-par round with a 69 (2 under par) which allowed him to finish three strokes ahead of Hojin Kang of Longwood, FL (2010), who finished in 2nd place. Kang, who won at Wedgefield in February, began the final round in a tie for second after opening with a 74 on Saturday. His final round of even par 71 allowed him to finish four strokes ahead of third place finishers Tanapol Vattanapisit of Rayong, THAILAND (2012) and ZeYu "Jerry" He of Shen Zhen, CHINA (2009). Vattanapisit was playing at the 13-15 level for the first time after winning at the 11-12 level in February at the Plantation event. He began the final round in 5th place but carded a final round of 73 to finish T3. Finishing in 5th place was William Sjaichudin of Queensland, AUSTRALIA (2010), who won at Saddlebrook in January. Twelve year old John Boehme of Jacksonville, FL (2012) came on strong on Sunday to win his second FCWT event. Boehme, who opened with a round of 90 on Saturday battled back on Sunday and carded a 78. His greatest improvement came on # 3 where he opened with a 10 on Saturday but made birdie on Sunday Overnight leader Blake Wilson of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (2011) also made significant improvements in his score - going from a 90 to an 83, but Boehme's 78 gave him the win by 4 strokes. Eleven year old Joshua Lee of Orange Park, FL (2013) finished in 3rd place.
