FCWT newcomer, Donald Constable of Deephaven, MN, took the early lead at the Far Oaks Junior Golf Classic. Constable, fired an opening round of 2 under par, 70 that began with an eagle on the par 5 first hole. Eagles seemed to abound today as the Boys 16-18 division had 6 players who carded one. In addition to Constable, Ravi Patel, Andrew Wyatt, Robert Valentine, Alexander Kline-Wedeen, and Matthew Vodde, all made eagle in the opening round. Constable will need to bring his A game on Sunday to hold on to this lead. One stroke back in second place is Christopher Williamson of Johnston, IA (2007) who tied for 2nd last weekend at Purdue after losing in a four-way playoff to Joe Smith. Williamson wants his own win and is in striking distance to get it. One stroke back of Williamson is Ravi Patel of Naperville, IL (2007) who came in with an even par round of 70 to be in third place. In a tie for 4th place are: Dustin Koth of Bloomington, IL, and Ross Millman of St. Louis, MO. Koth and Millman tied for 4th at the Cog Hill event in October and would both like to break into the trophy spots for this event. In a tie for 6th place entering Sunday's final round are Kyle Smell of Overland Park, KS (2007), who finished T7 at the University of Oklahoma in October and Christopher Brant of Edwardsville, IL (2008). They are just 5 strokes back of Constable at 75.
