The predictions Saturday night sounded great as far as the weather was concerned, but during play on Friday, the players were fighting the wind and cold at Las Colinas. By early afternoon the wind calmed down and the temperature went up. First round leader Geoffrey Shaw of Edmond, OK (2008) was able to hold on for the win. Shaw opened with a round of 71 and followed with a 78 but still finished 1 stroke ahead of Draegen Majors of Bixby, OK (2006). Majors carded the Low Round of the day with a one over par 72 to move from T10 into 2nd place. Finishing in 3rd place was Stephen Carney of Tulsa, OK (2008). Steve Ziegler of Broomfield, CO (2007) and Eric Stapars of Southlake, TX (2007) finished T4. In the boys 13-15 division, Tyler Downing of Stugis, MI (2009) put together two solid rounds of 73-75 to earn his second FCWT win of the season. Downing finished 8 strokes ahead of 2nd place Ford Fischer of Plano, TX (2009). Jordan Frye of Colleyville, TX (2009) finished one stroke back of Fischer in 3rd place. In the boys 11-12 division, Preston Standley of Dallas, TX (2012) earned his first FCWT win! In the girls 11-13 division, Ashley Armstrong carded 2 rounds of 94 to earn her first FCWT victory!
