In the Girls division at at the Grayhawk Junior Golf Classic, fifteen year old Ashley McKenney of Scottsdale, AZ (2008) fired a one under par round of 71 to open the event.  She led Glory Yang of Murrieta, CA (2007) by 4 strokes heading into the final round. But on Friday, Glory Yang fired a final round of 69 (3 under par) to win her first FCWT event!  McKenney, who struggled on Friday, was still strong enough to finish 2nd and earn her third Top 3 finish of the season.  Finishing in third place was Cara Freeman of San Juan Capistrano (2007) at 158. Alexandra Gibson of Henderson, NV (2007) finished 4th and FCWT newcomer, Katie Saucier of Bainbridge Island, WA (2007) finished tied for 5th with Kayla Cline of Socorro, NM of 2008. 

In the boys 16-18 division, local player senior Ryan Williams fired a 3 under par round of 69 to take the opening round lead.  Ryan fired a second under par round on Friday with a one under par and won his first FCWT event!  Finishing in a tie for 2nd were:  David Zeuske of Coto de Caza, CA (2007) and Michael Garden of Scottsdale, AZ (2007).  Connor Driscoll of Encinitas, CA (2007) earned the Low Round honors on Friday with a round of 2 under par that allowed him to finish in 4th place.  David Hahn of Henderson, NV (2008) finished in 5th place.  Maxwell Scodro of Chicago, IL (2008) continues to come on strong earning his highest finish of the season so far with 6th place.  Four players finished T7 to round out the Top 10:  Zachary Baker of Scottsdale, AZ (2007), Michael Haenel, Jr. of Paradise Valley, AZ (2006), Eric Grimberg of Portland, OR (2007) and Austyn Karle of Scottsdale, AZ (2007).

Bradley Kohlrus and Beau Schoolcraft both carded eagles during this event.  Chad Vivolo led the 16-18 division in birdies with 9.  Winner Ryan Williams led in pars with 24.

In the Boys 13- 15 division, Trent Sanders of Scottsdale, AZ (2008) earned his third win of the season by making a 40' birdie putt on the second playoff hole.  Sanders began the final round in 4th place, but finished the 36 holes tied with Ben Itterman of Carlsbad, CA (2010).  Sanders carded the only eagle of this division for the event and tied with Itterman for birdies during the 36 holes of play with 5.  But the birdie on the 2nd playoff hole made the difference.  Thirteen year old Itterman previously won at Escena thus earned his second Top 3 finish.  First Round leader Michael Schovee of Englewood, CO (2008) finished in 3rd place.

Zachary Wright of Phoenix, AZ (2012) earned his second FCWT win of the season by 2 strokes over David Lowe of Scottsdale, AZ (2011).  Austin Quick of Scottsdale finished in 3rd and led this division in birdies with 7.  Kraig Mcleod carded the only eagle of this division.
