OH sOH good!

Ji Young Oh of South Korea (2007) is developing a very effective strategy in FCWT events.  She has played 3 events and now has 3 wins.  In her last two events she plays the course conservatively in the first round making mostly pars, but always putting herself in contention and then in the final round she pours it on and shoots the lights out as they say in March Madness.  Her final round at the Feather Sound Open was no exception - a 66, 6 under par, with only one bogey on the day and she may have left a couple out there.  The 17 year old KOREAN National Champion is the real thing!  Going into Sunday's final round Jessica Korda of Bradenton, FL (2011) and Elisa Aoki of Japan (2009) were tied for 3rd place, one stroke back of FCWT newcomer Victoria Kiser of Orlando, FL (2011).  Korda and Aoki finished T2 after final rounds of 79 that put them at +11 for the event.  Victoria Kiser finished in 4th in her first FCWT event, one stroke ahead of Senior Molly Aronsson of Shelburne, VT.

In the Girls 13 and under division, twelve year old Allie Kiser of Orlando, FL (2012) is out to the lead in her first FCWT event.  Miss Kiser carded 3 birdies on the day on numbers 3, 12 and 18 and will have a 5 stroke lead entering the final round.  Simin Feng of Beijing, CHINA (2013) and Hee Jeong Lim of KOREA (2011) are tied at 84.

For Saturday's first round of the Feather Sound Open, Wilson Bowen of Winnetka, IL (2008) got it going early and fired the only sub-par round.  Bowen, whose best finish so far this season was T9, came in at one under par with a 2 stroke advantage over Chas Boggini and Paul Park.  On Sunday, Esteban Calisto Albornoz of Quito, ECUADOR (2007), one of 3 players to card an eagle in this division on Saturday, started the day in fourth place after an opening round of 73 (+1).  Albornoz got off to a great start with a birdie on the first hole.  By the 5th hole after 3 bogeys, things were looking a little dim, but a birdie on 7 and 9 got things going again as he made the turn at even par.  Two bogeys and two birdies on the back put him in at even par for the day and one over for the event which was enough to give him his first FCWT win of the season and an automatic exemption to the National Championship.  Esteban's highest finish before today was a T7.

Finishing in second place, was overnight leader Wilson Bowen.  Bowen carded 6 birdies on Sunday for a total of 10 (the most in this division), but bogeys on 16 and 17 and a double on 18 took away his chance at the title.  His second place finish was his best of the season.  Also earning his best finish of the season was Kyle Lepore of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (2007).  Lepore finished in 3rd place and tied with Jung Min Kim of KOREA (2007) for Low Round Honors with a one under par 71.  Finishing in 4th place and earning his sixth Top 5 finish of the season was Jhared Hack of Heathrow, FL (2007)Hack finished 1 stroke back of Lepore and 2 strokes ahead of Jung Min Kim (2007), Connor Arendell of Cape Coral, FL (2008) and Peter Kolosvary of Safety Harbor, FL (2006).  Bayhaan Lakdawala of Dubai, UAE (2006) was the only player to card an eagle in each round.  On Saturday he made eagle on the par 5 1st hole and on Sunday he made eagle on the par 5 6th hole.  He finished T9 at 153.

In the Boys 13-15 division, Taylor Bowen of Rehoboth, MA (2009), began the final round with a one stroke advantage over Andrew Colvin of Longwood, FL (2009) after opening with a round of 74 (+2) on Saturday.  On Sunday, Colvin was able to get it going down the stretch sinking 3 birdies in a row on 6, 7, and 8 and then making par on his last hole #9.  This was Andrew's second FCWT win of the season, as he won at Sawgrass in January.  Overnight leader Taylor Bowen finished in 2nd place, 4 shots back of ColvinJack Schroeder of Naples, FL, carded a final round of 74 to finish in 3rd place.  Alex Lyall of Novi, MI (2008) finished tied for 4th and was the only player in this division to card an eagle and he did it twice - once on Saturday and once on Sunday.  Devin Patel of Celebration, FL (2008) also finished in 4th place

In the Boys 11-12 division, Motin Yeung of CHINA (2012) opened with a round of +9 81 to lead all scores by 8.  He followed that up with a round of 82 on Sunday to win in his first FCWT event!  John Boehme of Jacksonville Beach, FL (2012) finished 7 strokes back in 2nd and Jason Hak of CHINA (2012) finished in 3rd.  Hak, who ran into some trouble on # 7 on Saturday got off to a good start on the back nine on Sunday with 7 pars and a birdie, he made the turn at 1 over par.
