Walker, a second year FCWT player, was named an FCWT All-American last season after winning the Yankee Trace Open in April 2007. Ross Sumner of Callao, VA (2008) and Parker Davis of Chadds Ford, PA (2008) are tied for 8th at 76, just 4 strokes back of our leader. In the Boys 13-15 division, there are three players tied for the lead after round one: Ben Warnquist of Rockville, MD, (2011), is a 14 year old 2nd year FCWT player, Jerrell Parrish of Glenn Dale, MD (2010), is playing in his first FCWT event, and Patrick Rodgers of Avon, IN (2011), a second year player, who already has a win and a 2nd place finish this season. Warnquist led this division in birdies on Saturday with 4. Parrish, led this division in pars on Saturday with 13. Rodgers will be looking to become the first FCWT player to earn 2 wins in this division this season. The three will be paired together for the final round and will begin the day at 73 (+2), holding a 4 shot lead over 2 players who are currently tied for 4th. John Rosenberg of Devon, PA (2010) and Austin Nowak of Lancaster, NY (2011), both carded opening rounds of 77 and posted 3 birdies on the day. |
