Two weeks ago at the Sun Devil Classic, Grant Rappleye of Elk Grove, CA (2008) carded a final round of 70 to edge out a very competitive field and win the event. On Saturday at the Coyote Creek Open, he demonstrated that he is out to win again by firing an opening round of 3 under par, 69. Grant is co-leading the event with another senior from California, FCWT veteran player Dennis Carson of Burlingame. Carson, playing in his first event of the season, carded 4 birdies and only one bogey on the day to match Rappleye's score. The two co-leaders will be paired with another FCWT veteran for the final round.
