Austin Snell of Baytown, TX (2008) was on a mission for the opening round of the Eagle Creek Open.  Snell fired a 5 under par 68 that included 3 eagles.  He also added 3 birdies to his card and has a 2 stroke advantage heading into the final round.  Seventeen year old Ross Frankenberg of Barrington, IL (2009) had his own impressive round.  Frankenberg posted a bogey-free round of 3 under par 70, led in pars with 15 and is all alone in 2nd place.  In 3rd place is Sean Prisco of Staten Island, NY (2008) at 2 under par.  Prisco led the field in birdies with 6 on Saturday.  Fifteen year old Rocky Khara of Sebring, FL (2010) came in at 1 under par 72 and will start the final round in 4th place.  Five players are tied for 5th place:  Steven Loer of Sarasota, FL (2008), Roberto Francioni of SWITZERLAND (2008), Matt Kocolowski of Orlando, FL (2009), Devin Patel of Celebration, FL (2008) and Trevor Freeman of Carthage, MO (2008) are all at even par 73.  Three players are tied for 10th:  Jordan Duffy of Calgary, AB, Petur Petursson of University Park, FL (2009), and Alex Donaldson of Windermere, FL (2008).

The Boys 13-15 division has co-leaders after one round of play.  Brandon Baerwaldt of Bradenton, FL (2010) and Hank Lebioda of Winter Springs, FL (2012) both carded opening rounds of 2 under par 71.  Baerwaldt led in birdies with 6 and Lebioda led in pars with 13.  Two players are also tied for 3rd at even par 73.  Sean Kelly of Staten Island, NY (2011) and Owen Curry of Longwood, FL (2011) are 2 strokes back of the leaders and 1 stroke ahead of a foursome tied for 5th.  Kevin Liu of St. Albans, MO (2012). Jens Talbert of Little Rock, AR (2011), Motin Yeung of Beijing, CHINA (2012), and Joe Duncan of Vero Beach, FL (2011) all carded opening rounds of 74 (+1).

In the Boys 11-12 division, Daniel Jaramillo of Medellin, COLOMBIA (2014), who is coming off a win last weekend at the World Golf Village Open, is out to the lead again.  Eleven year old Jaramillo has a one stroke advantage over 12 year old Ryan Stovash of Orlando (2013).

 

At the Eagle Creek event in Orlando, FL, Dottie Ardina of the PHILIPPINES (2012) is out to the first round lead after carding a 1 under par 72 on Saturday.  Miss Ardina led in birdies with 4 and tied for the most pars with 11.  She will start the final round with a 5 stroke advantage over Jessica Alexander of Riverview, FL (2009), who also had 11 pars for the opening round.  Starting in 3rd place is the 2007 FCWT Laura Diaz Girls Player of Promise Yueer "Cindy" Feng of Orlando, FL (2014), 11, and Laura Kanouse of Boca Raton, FL (2012), 14.  Senior Leslie Choucard of FRANCE will begin the final round in 5th place after an opening round of +8.

In the Girls 11-14 division, 10-year old Stephanie Liu of St. Albans, MO (2015) leads by one stroke over FCWT newcomer eleven-year old Laura Gros of Gainesville, FL (2014)Miss Gros, playing in her first event, led this division in pars with 6.
