Steinberg

Steinberg leads wire-to-wire to earn first FCWT win

Senior Roy Steinberg of Caesarea, ISRAEL fired an opening round of 3 under par 68 on Saturday at the Doral Classic. Steinberg, played the front side 3 under with no bogeys. On Sunday, Steinberg improved on that by firing a bogey-free round of 2 under par 69 to increase his lead from 1 stroke to 3. While Steinberg's final round wasn't as exciting as his first two rounds, it was enough to earn him his first FCWT title by two strokes over

Jake S.

Jake Shepherd of London, UK (2008). Shepherd, who fired a 2 under par 69 on Sunday, started the final round in 4th place but finished at 214, just 2 strokes back of Steinberg. Shepherd led this divison in pars with 42 for the weekend and earned his second Top 3 FCWT finish.

Matus

Stanislav Matus of CZECH REPUBLIC (2008), who fired a round of 3 under par 68 on Sunday, finished in 3rd place at 215 earning his fifth Top 5 in as many starts this season. Richard Lamb of South Bend, IN (2008) moved up to 4th place with a final round of 1 under par 70 to finish at 217, one shot ahead of a five-some who finished tied for 5th. That group at 218 included Ryan Thornton of Chattanooga, TN (2009), who fired a final round of 2 under par 69 to move into the Top 5. Joining Thornton was Zhong Yang Fu of CHINA (2010) who made birdie on his final hole to finish in the Top 5. Like Fu, Benjamin Palanszki of Budapest, HUNGARY (2010) carded a final round of even par to finish tied for 5th.

Della Pietra

Gregory Della-Pietra of Stuart, FL (2008), who already had 3 top 10s this season, earned another with his final round of 74 to finish tied for 5th. Also carding a final round of 74 was Oscar Sharpe of Cheltenham, ENGLAND (2010), the final player at T5. Shang Zhi's final round of 74 placed him in 10th. Zhi, from Bradenton, FL, now has three top 10s for the season.

m ceravolo

Ceravolo fires a 4 under par 67 to expand lead and win

In the Boys 13-15 division Sunday's round began with Matthew Ceravolo of Palm Beach Gardens, FL (2011) and Brendan Connolly of Castle Rock, CO (2011) co-leading after each carded an opening round of 73. But 73 wasn't good enough for Ceravolo, so on Sunday he posted a round of 71 and took sole possession of the lead. On Monday, Ceravolo began with a 4 stroke advantage, but it was no longer about the competition. It was about beating the course. During his final round Ceravolo made birdie 6 times and only bogeyed twice, so he finished 4 up from the course's perspective. From the competitors perspective, he earned his first win of the season and along with it exempt status.

kevin g

Kevin Giulini of GERMANY (2011) who began the final round at 149, took home 2nd place, his fifth Top 3 of the season.

powell

Austin Powell of Jupiter, FL (2011), who won at the PGA Golf Club event, began the day in 4th place at 150, but carded a final round of 72 to finish in 3rd place.

connolly

Connolly took home fourth place, just a stroke ahead of FCWT newcomer

hallberg

Eric Hallberg of Castle Rock, CO (2012), who carded the only eagle in this division on Saturday, and moved from 7th to 5th during the final round.

Beck

Beck bounces back - cards Low Round and 2nd Win

On Saturday, sixteen year old Laetitia Beck of Caesarea, ISRAEL (2010) fired an opening round of 2 under par at the Doral Silver Classic. Miss Beck, who won earlier this season when she opened the PGA Golf Open with a round of 68, had 6 birdies on Saturday and began Sunday's round with a 2 shot lead over Megan Pak of New Orleans, LA (2009) who was at even par 71. On Sunday, Victoria Kiser of Orlando, FL (2010) started in 4th place at 74 then fired the Low Round of the day, a 70, to move into a tie for the lead with Miss Beck. But on Monday, Miss Beck came back by posting the Low Round of the day, a one over par 72. After her opening bogey, Miss Beck made par on the remaining 17 holes on Monday. Earning her 2nd win of the season makes her a strong candidate for FCWT 1st Team All-American.

V Kiser

Miss Kiser finished in 2nd place, her fifth Top 3 of the season including 3 wins. Finishing in 3rd, one stroke back of Miss Kiser was Maria Piccio of the PHILIPPINES (2009), who won the World Woods event earlier this season.

M edmonson

Melissa Edmonson of Miami, FL (2010) finished in 4th place at 222.
