Sixteen year old Laetitia Beck of Caesarea, ISRAEL (2010) fired an opening round of 2 under par at the Doral Silver Classic. Miss Beck won earlier this season when she opened the PGA Golf Open with a round of 68. Her 6 birdies led this division and she will begin round two with a 2 shot lead over Megan Pak of New Orleans, LA (2009). Miss Pak is on even par 71 and 2 strokes ahead of Maria Piccio of the PHILIPPINES (2009), who won the World Woods event earlier this season. Victoria Kiser of Orlando, FL (2010) tied Melissa Edmonson of Miami, FL (2010) for the most pars in round one; each young lady had 12. Miss Kiser will start Round Two in 4th place at 74, while Miss Edmonson will start in a tie for 6th at 77with Suzie Lee of Long Island, NY (2010). Wedged in between is Shannon Pak, younger sister of Megan, who will start in 5th place at 76. Thirty-six holes remain in the event.

Senior Roy Steinberg of Caesarea, ISRAEL fired an opening round of 3 under par 68 on Saturday at the Doral Classic. Steinberg, played the front side 3 under with no bogeys. A third year FCWT player, Steinberg would like to earn his first FCWT win on Monday, but knows that players like Jason Burstyn of Miami, FL (2008) are not going to make that easy. Burstyn is just one stroke back of Steinberg at 69 (-2) and is playing in his own backyard. Jason finished T3 at the Sawgrass event, but would also like to earn a win here. Another senior is currently in 3rd place, Gregory Della-Pietra of Stuart, FL (2008), who already has 3 top 10s this season, opened with a round of 1 under par. Della-Pietra and Robert Smith of Osteen, FL, (2010), currently tied for 6th place, led this division in pars on Saturday with 15 each. Sebastien Vasquez of Mexico City, MEXICO (2010) and Daniel Stringfellow of Roselle, IL (2010) are currently tied for 4th at 71. Joining Smith in a tie for 6th are: Stanislav Matus of CZECH REPUBLIC (2008), Benjamin Palanszki of HUNGARY (2010), who led this division in birdies with 7 on Saturday, and Blake Morris of Westbury, CT (2011). Benjamin Martin of TRINIDAD (2008) was one of only two players to card an eagle of Saturday, the other being Zhong Yang Fu of Beijing, CHINA (2010), currently tied for 15th at 75. Martin is tied for 10th with Cyril Suk of Bradenton, FL (2011) and Richard Lamb of South Bend, IN (2009).

In the Boys 13-15 division we have co-leaders. Matthew Ceravolo of Palm Beach Gardens, FL (2011) and Brendan Connolly of Castle Rock, CO (2011) both opened with rounds of 73. They will begin Round Two with a one stroke advantage over Kevin Giulini of GERMANY (2011).
