Course Description
PGA National - Haig Course
The Haig was the first course opened for play at PGA National Resort in 1980. Walter Hagen, the course?s namesake, was known for his suggestion that others should "stop and smell the roses." In tribute, rose bushes bloom at the 150 yard markers on the course. The course was designed from the ground up to provide quality golf for all types of players. In fact, careful study reveals there are no crossing water hazards, so golfers always have the option of playing around rather than over ? or through - a water hazard. The 9th and 18th holes return to the Clubhouse area, facilitating 9-hole play from the 1st and 10th tees.
