| The Haig was the first course opened for play at PGA National Resort in 1980. Walter Hagen, the course?s namesake, was known for his suggestion that others should "stop and smell the roses." In tribute, rose bushes bloom at the 150 yard markers on the course. The course was designed from the ground up to provide quality golf for all types of players.
