Kiser

Queen Victoria ~Wire to Wire makes Kiser King

The Laura Diaz FCWT 2008 Girls National Championship opened on Saturday on the Squires Course at PGA National with over 65 young ladies representing 10 countries and 21 states.

Setting the pace early on Saturday was Victoria Kiser of Orlando, FL (2010). Miss Kiser, who was named the Girls East Region Player of the Year at Friday night's Awards Dinner, opened with a 3 under par 69. She had a two stroke advantage over

L Beck

Laetitia Beck of Caesaria, ISRAEL (2010) going into Sunday's Second Round.

On Sunday, Miss Beck matched Miss Kiser's round of 71 and so they headed into the final round with the same 2 stroke spread.

On Monday, Victoria came back strong and fired a final round of 3 under par 69 to finish at 7 under for the event. During the regular season, Tori won 3 events, had 6 Top 3 finishes and 8 top 5 finishes. She tied Miss Beck for the most birdies on the weekend, each had 11. Tori also tied

Marika Liu

Marika Liu of Beverly Hills, CA (2011) for the most pars on the weekend; each had 39. Sixteen year old Victoria's win ended her season the same way she started it - with a win!

Fifteen year old Kyle Roig of Pembroke Pines, FL (2011), who finished in 6th place here last season, moved from tied for 6th to 3rd place on Sunday. She held that position in the final round.

Chung

Karen Chung of Livingston, NJ (2013), who won the Mystic Dunes event, also moved up the leaderboard on Sunday, from 9th to 4th with a round of 73. She finished tied with Miss Liu for 4th on Monday.

Megan Pak of New Orleans, LA (2009) went low on Monday with a 1 under par 71 that allowed her to finish tied for 6th with

Samantha Morrell of North Kingstown, RI (2009), who won the New England Open, Meghan Moore of Bahama, NC (2009), who won at Bermuda Run, and

D Lendl

Daniela Lendl of Bradenton, FL (2011) finished tied for 8th. Miss Lendl, who was presented the "For the Good of the Game Award" on Friday night, along with Wilson Bowen of Winnetka, IL, won twice this season: La Costa and Feather Sound, the only player in this division to win on each coast.

carly Goldstein

Goldstein is GOLDEN

Ten girls teed off in the Girls 11-14 division of the Laura Diaz FCWT 2008 National Championship on Saturday representing 5 states.

Thirteen year old Carly Goldstein of Coral Springs, FL (2013) took the first round lead with a 77 and never looked back. Miss Goldstein finished 5th at the Inverrary East Open in the Girls 13-18 division during the regular season. She chose to play the 11-14 division for the Championship and a good choice it was.

On Sunday Carly continued to lead with a round of 75, 2 strokes better than her first round, that put her at 152 (+8) for the event. On Monday, she improved her score by 2 strokes again, carding a one over par 73 that allowed her to win the title easily. She carded the only eagle in this division on the par 5 14th hole during the final round. She led the division in birdies with 10 and also posted 29 pars for the event.

Finishing in 2nd place was

Samantha Wagner

11 year old Samantha Wagner of Easton, PA (2015), who was named the Player of Promise for the Laura Diaz Girls 11-14 division for her 4 wins this season. She began the final round in 4th place at 159 then posted a 75 on Monday to move up the leaderboard.

Liu

Another 11 year old, Stephanie Liu of St. Albans, MO (2015), finished in 3rd place at 239. Miss Liu won two events during the regular season and was named to the Faces of the Future team at Friday night's Awards Dinner.

Fourteen year old Bryce Schroeder of Pueblo, CO (2012), finished in 4th place at 243 and

Lauren Gros

Lauren Gros of Gainesville, FL (2014), 12, who won the Eagle Creek Open, finished in 5th place at 249.
