Fully focused on their game and reaching their goal of playing on the LPGA Tour, Ginger, 15, and Robbi, 14, love to talk golf. They’re not so bad on the course, either, with Ginger at No. 23 in the Golfweek/Sagarin worldwide junior girls’ rankings and Robbi at No. 90. The sisters, though, aren’t one dimensional. The two recently answered a few questions for FCWT

2009-2010 season: Range Finders
Range Finders
For the 2009-2010 FCWT season “a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If, during astipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used.”

Scotland players compete agst some FCWT players in the Philadelphia area
What a perfect day we had on Saturday, September 19th. The FCWT has become a regular guest of the Tantallon Golf Club who play at North Berwick Golf Club in Scotland. This year they decided to come and visit the FCWT and challenge their skills on "non-links" courses in the Philadelphia area.
The players representing the FCWT were pleased to welcome a few Philadelphia Junior PGA players for the friendly match. The boys went out in four's, and they each played a single match and a four-ball better-ball match. The difference was that it was played over the 18 holes, so no matter how far up you were, your opponent always had the opportunity to claw his way back into the match. More...

Note: This is the 4th article in a series that is aimed at getting you ready to play in the FCWT national tournament. In this article, Dr. Bob explains why sometimes we become fearful of playing with golfers with “established reputations and big names” and why the worry prevents you from playing to your potential.
Dear Dr. Winters,
When I am in a big tournament or when I play with “name” players, I become nervous and I don’t trust myself. I worry that I won’t play well or worry about what they will think of me as a player. I tend to lose my focus and mess up my shots and I end up with a high score. How can I get rid of the doubt and not embarrass myself?

“Make Every Shot Count!”
Note: This is the 3rd article in a series that is aimed at getting you ready to play in the national tournament. In this article, Dr. Bob explains the value of always giving your best into each shot, no matter how you stand in relation to score.
Question: “Dr. Bob, when I am in a tournament and I am not doing well, I become frustrated and impatient. I start to lose my focus and more importantly, my enthusiasm for playing the game. I sometimes feel that I just want to give up if I can’t win or do well. It isn’t that I actually do, but it feels that way. I just don’t give it my best. Do you have any suggestions that might help me?” Christopher W. Ashland, Ohio More...
