Future Collegians World Tour
We have arrived. A long day for most, our 11 hour flight was longer than scheduled thanks to a strong headwind. Our hosts were at Nirita airport to greet us and take us to our bus. 45 minutes later we arrived at our hotel, Kashima Central Hotel. Everyone is in good spirits and we have all had a stroll down the main road. Seven stopped at the first Sushi place and three went on to Jonathan’s cafe for a meal. A remarkable experience when our Japanese hosts are so polite and helpful and we cannot understand a word. Pointing to the menu items seemed to work well and we all were fed.
A quick stop at the local supermarket, everyone has their bottles of water and snacks, a few sampled Baskin and Robins and now we are back in hotel, ready for what will hopefully be a good nights rest before the unofficial practice round.
